Fiscal Service provides nontax, administrative debt collection services through the Centralized Receivables Service (CRS) to federal agencies.

In order to make sure that all disbursements are legal, proper, and accurately recorded in an efficient manner, payees must follow guidelines provided by the Bureau of the FiscalService and other supporting government entities.

Agencies are responsible for collecting and reporting the nontax, administrative receivables owed to them, also called non-delinquent debt. Fiscal Service provides services and guidance to help agencies efficiently settle and report these debts.

Financial statement preparation ensures financial statements and footnotes are documented as required by OMB Circular A-136
