A new report, Financial Management Shared Services: Progress and Identified Challenges, issued by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on December 10, 2025, highlights FM Marketplace progress.  The report says that agency use of the FM Marketplace is growing and is expected to continue to grow. The anticipated increase in use is supported by executive order (E.O.) 14249, which directs all Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Act agencies to use the FM Marketplace to get standards-based financial management solutions.
