Budget clearing account is an account established by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service for recording and adjusting credits and charges resulting from claims on unavailable checks. Agency Location Code administrators must clear credits and charges in the budget clearing account to the proper Federal Program Agency account as expeditiously as possible.
