A designation is a document signed by a Designating Official notifying the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service) of the appointment of a government employee who is authorized to perform a specific disbursement-related function. A designation may not be assigned or transferred. Designations are submitted to Fiscal Service using the Fiscal Service Form 210 series.
